The Prince of Peace congregation is partnering with Thrivent Builds to build a Habitat for Humanity house in St. Petersburg. Numerous members of the congregation have been working weekends on the house located at 2837 4th Avenue South. It’s really coming along! It takes more than hammers and nails to provide affordable housing for our community. On average, the materials, skilled labor and land cost $100.000 per house. 65% of the money comes from Habitat International and the Pinellas Chapter. 25% comes from the owner and 10% of the money comes from South Pinellas County Thrivent Branch Churches. That’s us! Funds donated by the congregation will be matched by our First Fruits Fund up to $2000 dollars. There’s still time to participate. Our next scheduled work day is July 12th – come join us.
