Health & Safety Fair 2008

This year’s Health & Safety Fair was a great success! We had more volunteers than in any previous year and we needed them all. There were 77 volunteers who worked an average of 4 hours on Saturday. We assembled 56 backpacks filled with donated school supplies. Two tables filled with school supplies were also handed out to children attending the fair. Six doctors provided physicals to 126 children and youth. Thirty-eight children received back to school haircuts. Sixteen people gave blood at the bloodmobile – 12 for the first time! We had more community participation than at any previous Health & Safety Fair.
