2009 HEALTH & SAFETY FAIR
The 9th annual Prince of Peace Health & Safety Fair was held August 15th, once again it was a tremendous success. Our community outreach included: over 200 school physicals, more than double the number provided last year. Haircuts were another great attraction with 53 provided to both boys and girls. Due to the slow economy, school supplies were in great demand. The family of Prince of Peace was able to provide 300 plus backpacks to children of all ages along with packets of notebook paper, pencils, markers and other essential items. More than 107 church members and community volunteers gave this event life on Saturday morning. Thanks to everyone that participated or contributed to this opportunity to reach out to our community and welcome 900 people to Prince of Peace.
